This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure og personal data we receive from you when you register for an event on startupdating.dk.

Personal Data means data about a living individual who can be identified from those data (or form those and other information either in our possession or likely to come into our possession).

We collect several different types of information to provide and improve our service to you.

While signing up for a Startup Dating Event, we ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you (“Personal Data”).

Startupdating.dk uses the collected data for various purposes:

To provide you with relevant information about the event
To contact you about evaluation of the event

Disclosing Data

The personal information that you provide when registering for an event will not be passed on.

We only publish the pictures and videos that we have been given permission by you.

Duty of disclosure

If you consent to a Startup Dating event, we take pictures and videos at live events and use them in our marketing material of up-coming Startup Dating events, including flyers, website and social media accounts for the University College of Northern Denmark, Startup Dating and our co-organizers SEA, AAU Innovation, AAU.

To attract the right people to the event we wish to share a video presentation, a picture of the startup team and a text about the startup, which will be published at www.startupdating.dk and our Facebook Startup Dating.

How social media otherwise processes your personal information is beyond UCN´s control and is solely a relationship between you and social media.

Cooperation between Aalborg University and University College of Northern Denmark

Startup Dating is a collaboration between Aalborg University and University College of Northern Denmark. University College of Northern Denmark is the contact person for Startup Dating and manages the website startupdating.dk. Aalborg University is responsible for evaluating the various events that are held each year. The evaluation is reported un anonymized form.

Retention of Personal Data

Basically, we delete information about you when we no longer need it.

On social media, however, your inquiries and out published content will be available for as long as the social media in question allows.

We store the person information that you provide in connection with registration for an event for one year. The purpose of this is that we can contact you in relation to evaluation and information about upcoming events.

We will retain your information unless you specifically ask us to delete it. This may be done by contacting innovation@ucn.dk.

Your rights

You have some rights under the Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in relation to our processing of information about you. If you want to make use of your rights, please contact us.

You have the right to:

Withdraw your consent at any time. If you withdraw your consent, we will cease using the data.
Access the data we are processing about you.
Rectification: having inaccurate data about yourself rectified.
Restriction of processing, objection, erasure, and data portability if the applicable conditions are met.

Consent and acceptance of terms

The legal basis for the processing of personal data is Article 6 (1) of the EU Data Protection Regulation. 1 letter am consent.
